The Prime Minister's Office said Monday it has dispatched an inspection team to a general hospital in southern Seoul at the center of the recent spread of the MERS virus to look into its epidemic control system.

The office said Samsung Medical Center's efforts to contain the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome have been insufficient and tighter inspection is needed to curb further MERS cases.
The inspection came a day after the hospital announced its decision to suspend part of its services after many MERS cases originated there. (Yonhap)
